Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. appreciates the dedication of caregivers in our community providing tender care during tender moments at end-of-life. Every day we hear stories about wonderful support and services caregivers provide families in Southwest Missouri.
The Tender Moments - Tender Care Caregiver Excellence Award Program™ honors compassionate individuals and organizations going above and beyond caring for others during end-of-life.
To thank those providing hope & comfort for those in need, we accept nominations seeking one caregiver or organization per category or organization per category to be recognized quarterly and featured at our yearly celebration where Caregiver of the Year will be announced.
ELIGIBILITY
Very special people volunteer and work in Home Health, Hospice, Hospital, Nursing Homes/Assisted Living Communities and other situations where special end-of-life care is provided. Those providing care or support directly to a patient or their family are eligible to be nominated for the award such as:
- Doctors
- Hospice Staff
- Bereavement Staff
- Volunteers
- Office Staff
- Support Staff
- Organizations
- Nurses/Nurse Aides
- Social Workers
- Chaplains
- Housekeepers
- Therapists
- Beauticians/Barbers
- Other
NOMINEES
Each quarter, one nominee from each category will be selected to win a special award to say "thank you." Our Outreach Specialist will make arrangements to visit each winner's location personally to deliver the award with gifts. Their comforting work will be shared on our Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Facebook page and website.
TM-TC™ YEARLY AWARD CELEBRATION
Our yearly awards celebration ceremony recognizes all nominees & quarterly winners from each category for the care they provide. One caregiver nominee will be selected by our committee as the Tender Moments - Tender Care TM Caregiver of the Year. All nomineees for the year will be entered into a drawing for special prizes.
