Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. – DeGraffenreid-Wood-Crematory was founded in 1989 by the DeGraffenreid and Wood families. It was founded on the principles of providing high quality and respectful funeral services through "Tender Moments - Tender Care" through "Our Family Serving Your Family."
The Wood family established Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. In 1989, along with the DeGraffenreid family. In 2013, an on-site crematory was added, and the funeral home name changed to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. – DeGraffenreid-Wood-Crematory.
The Wood Family moved to Springfield to establish Walnut Lawn Funeral Home after founding, owning, and operating Wood Funeral Home in Hartville for many years. They raised their family of three children in the Hartville funeral home.
The Wood Family are well-respected servants in the funeral industry, with over five decades of service, providing unique and special celebrations of life with utmost care and respect, earning the trust of families, and caring for generations of loved ones with their trademark “Tender Moments – Tender Care.”
